"Enter to Win a Travel Gift Card Prize of $5,000.00" (the "Lottery")
LOTTERY RULES AND REGULATIONS (the "Rules")
Tickets may be purchased through MacDonald Chisholm Trask Insurance (the “Lottery Sponsor”). Tickets cost $10.00 for one (1) ticket or $25.00 for three (3) tickets. There is a minimum purchase of one (1) ticket to be eligible and no maximum ticket purchase quantity.
The Lottery is being held by the Lottery Sponsor and begins 12:01AM ADT on May 22, 2018 and will end upon drawing of a Selected Entrant at 2:00PM ADT on October 19, 2018 (the “Lottery Period”), after which time the Lottery will be closed and no further entries will be accepted.
The proceeds of the ticket sales for the Lottery will be awarded to the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia.
To be eligible for the Lottery, an individual must be:
- the age of majority in Nova Scotia or older at the time of entry
- a permanent resident of Nova Scotia
- an employee, client, or affiliate of the Lottery Sponsor.
The above requirements collectively constitute all “Eligible Persons”
Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia and its affiliates, subsidiaries, related companies, advertising and promotional agencies, and the household members of any of the above, are not eligible to participate in the Lottery.
HOW TO ENTER
To enter the Lottery, the Eligible Person must purchase a ticket from the Lottery Sponsor and fill out the required information, including the name, email and phone number of the Eligible Person. Only one name may be written on the ticket.
In the event a winning ticket has more than one name on it, the Lottery Sponsor shall award the prize to only one of the individuals identified on the ticket, and the Lottery Sponsor is not responsible for any disputes which may arise between the different individuals whose names appear on the ticket.
Upon receipt of this information by the Lottery Sponsor, the Eligible Person will automatically be entered into the Lottery.
There are no limits of entries per Eligible Person. The odds of winning are dependent on the number of entries purchased.

There will be one (1) travel gift card prize of $5,000.00 (the “Prize”) from Maritime Travel, which will be awarded to an Eligible Person who is over the age of majority and who is permanent resident in Nova Scotia and is an employee, client, or affiliate of the Lottery Sponsor.
The Prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, non-refundable and must be accepted by the winner as awarded. The Lottery Sponsor does not make any express or implied warranty about the Prize, and, as such, is not responsible for any dissatisfaction with the Prize or for any taxes, landing and departure fees, and other charges and surcharges that may be applicable.
Arrangements will be made by the Lottery Sponsor to deliver the Prize to the winner. The winner must meet all other eligibility criteria as well as any applicable company policies of the Lottery Sponsor. Date of delivery of the Prize to the Winner will based on availability.
There will be a random draw for the Prize at the Lottery Sponsor’s office located at 21 Dartmouth Road, Bedford, Nova Scotia, on October 19, 2018 at 2:00PM ADT.
One (1) entry from an Eligible Person will be manually selected at random among all entries received during the Lottery Period, in order to award the Prize described. All entries received meeting the eligibility criteria herein will be part of the same draw and will be treated equally for the purposes of selecting an entrant (the “Selected Entrant”).
The Selected Entrant will be notified by telephone and/or email shortly after the draw and instructed how to claim his/her prize.
In the event the Selected Entrant cannot be located the entrant will be disqualified and another entrant will be chosen.
The Lottery Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion to cancel or suspend this Lottery should an event beyond its reasonable control corrupt the security or proper administration of the Lottery, or for any other reason whatsoever. In the event that the Lottery Sponsor does make the decision to cancel the Lottery, it will give written notice to Service Nova Scotia’s Alcohol, Gaming Fuel and Tobacco Division and the reason why before doing so. Additionally, in the event that the Lottery Sponsor cancels the Lottery, all ticket holders will be refunded the price of the ticket(s) they purchased. The Lottery Sponsor and its affiliates may, at their sole discretion and without liability, rescind or amend this Lottery at any time.
Any person entering this Lottery or trying to do so by any means which would be unfair to the other entrants, contrary to the Rules or illegal, including computer hacking, amongst others, will be automatically disqualified and may be subject to prosecution, as the case may be. Decisions by the Lottery Sponsor in regard to this paragraph are final and binding.
In order to be confirmed a winner and receive a prize, the Selected Entrant will be required to sign the Lottery Sponsor’s form of Declaration of Compliance and Release which confirms compliance with these official Lottery Rules and releases the Lottery Sponsor from all liability with respect to the entrant’s participation in this Lottery and the awarding and use of the Prize.
By entering this Lottery, each Selected Entrant acknowledges and agrees that the Lottery Sponsor: (i) shall have no liability of any kind whatsoever with respect to this Lottery and/or the awarding or use of the prize, (ii) make no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind concerning the prize, (iii) disclaim any implied warranty, and (iv) are not liable for injury, loss or damage of any kind resulting from the entrant’s acceptance or use of the prize or otherwise from such entrant’s participation in this Lottery, and (v) are not liable for any claim arising from a the Selected Entrant’s use of or dissatisfaction with a prize.
By entering this Lottery, the Selected Entrant authorizes the Lottery Sponsor to use as required, his/her name, photograph, picture, place of residence, voice and (or) statement in connection with the Prize, for advertising purposes, without remuneration or compensation of any kind.
The Lottery Sponsor is not liable for faulty technology that makes it difficult or renders any person(s) unable to enter or win the Lottery.
The Lottery Sponsor has obtained a gaming license for this Lottery in the form of Ticket Single License issued by Service Nova Scotia’s Alcohol, Gaming Fuel and Tobacco Division.
By entering this Lottery, you acknowledge having read these Rules and agree to abide by them.

Lottery is subject to all federal, provincial and municipal laws.
